A Medical visa is given to those who are travelling to India to seek medical treatment in reputed/recognized specialized hospitals/treatment centers.

Up to two attendants who are blood relatives are allowed to accompany the applicant under Medical Attendant visas, which will have the same validity as the Medical visa.

The list of ailments would be neuro-surgery; ophthalmic disorders; heart-related problems; renal disorders; organ transplantation; congenital disorders; gene-therapy; radiotherapy; plastic surgery; joint replacement, etc. View all applicable treatments.

The initial duration of the visa is up to one year or the period of the treatment, whichever is less. A maximum of 3 entries is allowed during the validity of the visa.
